Christine Burns Business Training & Consultancy are launching a range of practical and interactive part time training programmes in Dublin this September. The courses are Train the Trainer (FETAC Level 6), Manual and Computerised Bookkeeping (FETAC Level 5), Manual and Computerised Payroll (FETAC Level 5), Supervisory Management and Leadership Skills (FETAC Level 6), and all take place in the following location:

Train the Trainer
FETAC Level 6
10 weeks duration
Tuesday evenings - 6.30 pm to 9.00 pm
Start date: Tuesday 13th September 2011.
General Aims
Learners who successfully complete this module will:
Understand different learning styles
Understand the functions and processes of learning and training
Evaluate different approaches to training
Appreciate the importance of training on an individual, social and economic level
Work effectively with a range of learner groups.
Design, deliver and evaluate training programmes
Develop and implement appropriate assessment methods
Who is this course for?

Manual and Computerised Bookkeeping
FETAC Level 5
15 weeks duration
Wednesday evenings - 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm
Start date: Wednesday 14th September 2011.
General Aims
Learners who successfully complete this module will:
Acquire an understanding of basic bookkeeping concepts and terminology
Acquire the knowledge and skills to record transactions in a manual accounts system and draw up a trial balance
Understand the main components of a computer system, and acquire the skills to carry out various housekeeping tasks
Appreciate the advantages of computerised accounts, and be aware of the various accounts packages available
Appreciate the importance of data accuracy and confidentiality in financial transactions
The specific learning outcomes are grouped into four units: Bookkeeping Principles, Computer Principles, Set-up and Input of Transaction Data, and Computer Reports and Analysis (including SAGE Line 50 Accounting Software).

Manual and Computerised Payroll
FETAC Level 5
15 weeks duration
Tuesday evenings - 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm
Start date: Tuesday 13th September 2011.
General Aims
Learners who successfully complete this module will:
Acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to use both manual and computerised payroll systems
Understand the essential and appropriate terminology associated with personal taxation
Appreciate the importance of accuracy and security in preparing and maintaining payroll records
Acquire the knowledge and understanding of how the cumulative, emergency and temporary tax systems operate.
The specific learning outcomes are grouped into three units: Manual Payroll, Computer Principles, and Computer Payroll (including SAGE Micro Pay Payroll Software).

Supervisory Management and Leadership Skills
FETAC Level 6
10 weeks duration
Monday evenings - 6.30 pm to 9.00 pm
Start date Monday: 12th September 2011.
General Aims
Learners who successfully complete this module will:
Acquire the theoretical knowledge enabling them to understand the role and responsibilities of a supervisor
Acquire a range of supervisory and management skills
Develop good interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrate the confidence to deal with a variety of challenging situations
Develop good work practices appropriate to their role as supervisor/line manager.
The specific learning outcomes are grouped into four units: Supervisory Management, Operational Planning, Team Leadership, and Organisational Skills.
